In my proper first post I just want to show the setup of the network infrastructure behind 12CP. Things will probably be continually changing, but at least I’ve made a start at documenting the state-of-affairs as of March 2020.

Everything sits nicely tucked away (WAF!) in a 6U 19″ cabinet under the staircase. Sorry for the mess – I should clear away cables and tools at some point.
On top of the cabinet I keep my Gigaset N300A IP PSTN/VoIP/SIP DECT base station (far corner, left), and a Current Cost EnviR Energy Monitor (right) – along with my now obsolete EE Brightbox 2 (in the background), a spare “emergency” telephone (in the box) and some tools.
And here’s a closeup of the cabinet with following devices: DrayTek Vigor 130 ADSL/VDSL Modem (top left), Ubiquiti UniFi® Security Gateway (top right), Ubiquiti UniFi® Cloud Key (middle shelf, towards the middle), Raspberry Pi 4 (middle shelf, right), Ubiquiti UniFi Switch PoE+ 24 (250W) (second from the bottom), and a CAT6 patch panel (bottom).

I have recently run two CAT6 cables from the loft, which I still need to add to the patch panel. These are intended for future SDR applications and possibly PV monitoring.
Not visible in the pictures are the Ubiquiti UniFi® AP AC LR and UniFi AC Mesh access points.
